Why can’t I edit a pre-curated Industry or Live Benchmark landscape?
Answer
You cannot edit companies in Pre-Curated Industry and Benchmark landscapes. Rival IQ displays a lock icon for these companies on your companies page.
Although you cannot edit the companies, you can add your company and close competitive set to these landscapes to see how you rank against your industry. If these companies are already in a landscape in your account, they will not be double counted toward your company limit.
📝 NOTE: Locked companies do not count against your plan’s company limit.
Duplicating Industry or Live Benchmark Landscape Companies
If you would like to edit the companies within an Industry or Live Benchmark landscape, you can duplicate the landscape and then edit the companies.
📝 NOTE: After you duplicate a landscape, its companies will no longer be locked and they will count against your company limit.
To duplicate a landscape:
1. Navigate to Landscape > Landscape Settings on the left navigation bar or go to Landscape Settings.
2. Click Duplicate.
Rival IQ takes you to the new landscape, which has the old landscape name followed by
"(Copy)." We recommend you rename the copy immediately to avoid confusion.
After you rename the new landscape, you can edit all of the companies.
You may choose to delete the original landscape to avoid confusion. To delete a landscape, select it under the Landscape list at the top of the left navigation bar and click Delete.
