Rival IQ does not support specifying custom URLs when adding a YouTube social channel to a company; however, you can add it by specifying its channel ID. Follow the instructions below to confirm that a URL is custom and find the channel's ID.
Identifying Custom URLs
To check if a YouTube channel has a custom URL, look at the URL in your web browser's address bar. The URL is custom if it contains:
/@
followed by a unique name (a handle), such as https://www.youtube.com/@YouTubeCreators(For older custom URLs)
/c/
or/user/
, such as https://www.youtube.com/c/YouTubeCreators
Finding a Custom YouTube Channel's ID
To find a channel ID for a custom URL:
1. Navigate to the YouTube channel.
2. Right-click anywhere on the page and select View Page Source.
3. Search for this value: ?channel_id=
β
4. Copy the channel_id
value and add the social handle to the company using this format:
youtube.com/channel/channel_id
