Recently, we learned that X, formally known as Twitter, has made the decision to remove the free APIs we used to support Twitter Mentions.
Due to these changes, on September 19th, 2023, Rival IQ will stop updating Twitter Mentions data. However, Twitter Mentions historical data will remain accessible until September 25th, 2023 when we will fully sunset Twitter Mentions.
As a part of sunsetting Twitter Mentions, here are a few changes you may notice:
All recurring scheduled reports utilizing Twitter Mentions will be discontinued
Twitter Mentions will no longer be available as a metric in Rival IQ custom dashboards
Any existing custom dashboards utilizing Twitter Mentions will automatically have Twitter Mentions removed as a metric, but it will not have any additional impact
