We would like to inform you about recent changes to Facebook metrics that will affect Rival IQ and your experience with our platform.

Changes in Facebook Metrics:

As of March 14, 2024, Facebook has deprecated several private data metrics from both the API powering Rival IQ and the native Facebook reporting platform. Consequently, the following metrics and their derivatives will no longer be available:

  • Page Fans by source

  • Page Fans by gender

  • Page Fans by age

  • Fan Post Impressions, Paid

  • Fan Reach per Post, Paid

To ensure you can still access historical data associated with these metrics, we will maintain visuals containing deprecated metrics for the next 30 days. We advise you to download your historical data before April 30, 2024.

Impact on Facebook Insights Dashboard:

  1. Page Fans with New Page Fans by Source: The source of Fan Adds will no longer be displayed.

  2. Page Fans Age & Gender Chart: This chart will be completely removed.

Until the source of New Page Fans is removed, all new Page Fans will be attributed as an "Unknown" source. See in the chart below that after March 14, 2024 all Fan Adds are "Unknown".

The Page Fans Age & Gender will only show data through March 14, 2024. If you select a time period after March 14, the chart will not have any data to display. The other demographic charts will not be impacted.

โ€‹Impact on Custom Dashboards:

The following metrics will not have data after March 14, 2024, and will be removed from Rival IQ on April 30, 2024:

  • Presence Engaged Users / Day

  • Fan Post Impressions, Paid

  • Fan Reach per Post, Paid

  • Page Fans by Gender and Age groups

  • Page Fans by Gender (Male, Female, Unspecified)

  • Page Fans by Age Group (13-17, 18-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65+)

  • Page Fans by Gender and Age groups (Male, Female, Unspecified)

Please make necessary adjustments to your dashboards and data analysis processes accordingly.
