About Alerts
An alert is a notification that Rival IQ sends you for each landscape that you own or are subscribed to in two ways:
By email
In your Alerts feed, accessible by clicking Alerts in the left navigation bar
How Alerts and Reports Differ
Alerts are similar to reports, which are also delivered to you via email. However:
Alerts are enabled and disabled via check boxes under Landscape > Landscape Settings. By default, all alerts are enabled for a landscape. The next section provides steps for disabling some or all email alerts.
Reports are manually exported or scheduled under Reports. You can unsubscribe from reports if you no longer want to remove them.
